The Federal Government of Nigeria tonight showered the Super Eagles of Nigeria with gifts in a civic reception held in honour of the Super Eagles at the Banquet hall of the State house. The African champions where thanked by all for bringing the trophy to Nigeria. All members of the Super Eagles were present at the dinner except Victor Moses and Efe Ambrose whom have returned to their clubs in Europe. At the dinner, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who was very happy with the Super Eagles, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria presented the Super Eagles with National honours, plots of land and money. Here is the breakdown of who got what....
NATIONAL HONOURS:
Coach - Commander of the order of the Niger (CON)
Assistant coaches - Officer of the oreder of the Niger (OON)
Captain - Officer of the oreder of the Niger (OON)
Other players - Member of the order of the Niger (MON)
LAND:
Each member of the team got a plot of land in Abuja
MONEY:
Coach - N10million
Assistant coaches - N5million
Players - N5million
Technical officials - N2million
There at the dinner, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan honoured them with prestigious national award, and handed each of them an envelop containing the documents to the plot of land in Abuja and the cheque of the sum given to each of them.
That was a great one from the Federal government.
